Pressure rating note: For example, a thick wall titanium tube OD 60mm x WT 12mm (Gr2) has an internal burst pressure > 120 MPa (17,400 psi) based on Barlow formula, making it suitable for ultra-high-pressure hydraulic systems.

Manufacturing Process: Rotary Forging & Heavy Pilgering
Unlike thin-wall tubes, heavy-wall titanium requires specialized deformation processes. TSM operates a dedicated rotary forge and heavy-duty pilger mill capable of reducing thick-wall billets with precise wall eccentricity control. Process steps: billet inspection → center drilling → rotary forging at 850-950°C → multi-pass pilgering → annealing → pickling → NDT. This yields thick wall titanium tubing with exceptional concentricity (eccentricity ≤ 8%) and crack-free surface.
